I had the honor of being asked to write an important featured article for the Make Me Heal website, about how to create a natural rhinoplasty result.
The article is long and very detailed and maybe a little complex for the causal reader but I think it’s the best article that I have ever seen for the informed patients who is considering rhinoplasty or revision rhinoplasty.
I break down the many different anatomical variations that most people may fall into and discuss the techniques that are appropriate for each type of nose. I have many good photos to illustrate the differences in these anatomical variations including thin vs. thick skin and weak vs. strong cartilages.
I also show the results of rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty patients with all these different variations. I show several examples of people who had the wrong technique performed for their particular anatomical variation (by other doctors) and describe how these problems could have and should have been prevented as well as the techniques I used to correct their problems.
After reading this article almost any patient should be able to get an idea of what type of nose they are starting with, what type of techniques are appropriate for them and what type of results they can expect if the rhinoplasty is performed well.
This article should be very effective at arming every prospective rhinoplasty patient with the information they need to make a good decision for themselves.
